Kate is from Heber City, UT and has a BA in Dance and Business from Anderson University. Movement has been a staple in her life since she was a little girl performing in her living room. She specializes in composition and Modern Dance, and also works with dancers in a therapeutic setting. Kate believes that dance is a unique art form in that it requires knowledge of self: physically, mentally, emotionally, and creatively. She says, “dance stretches a person to be unapologetically raw in a public way.”

In addition to teaching dance, Kate has worked in wilderness therapy and in a school for autistic students. Through these unique teaching experiences, she’s developed discipline, compassion, and a sense of curiosity. Kate believes dance is similar to wilderness therapy in that it challenges you to push the boundaries of what you believe you can physically do, which enables a sense of empowerment through self-discipline. Kate wants to help girls to lean deeper into their unique self and she can’t wait to inspire campers to shine their light at ADTC ULTIMATE Sierra Tahoe in California!
