I love to dance because I am always happier after I dance. I’m always proud when I’m nervous about a performance but push through it.
I had a lot of anxiety in Junior High. I got help from my teachers, counselors, and family to help me through it. I learned that I am stronger than I thought I was.
I want to inspire other girls to be as passionate about dance as I am.”

ADTC: What goals are you working on right now (in both dance & life)?
Sonya R: Make both dance teams at school for this year (dance goal) and try to be more positive (life goal)
ADTC: What is the most daring thing you’ve ever done?
Sonya R: My solos in competitions. I learned that every time I go on stage, I learn something new about myself.
ADTC: If you’ve been to ADTC, what is your favorite dance camp memory & why?
Sonya R: When we went paddle boarding and got stranded. It was funny to look back on.
