Julie Parker is currently an MFA Dance candidate at University of California, Irvine. She holds a BFA, Dance (cum laude) from Marymount Manhattan College in New York City.
Julie's choreographic accomplishments include "Fragmented Realities" (Dance Escape 2007, Irvine, CA); "Playground Memories" & "Porcelain Mightmare" (The Human Condition, Baltimore, MD); "Coppelia's Nightmare" (Artscape 2004, Baltimore, MD); "Demise" (Dancers At Work, NYC); "Got Funk?" (B. Funk Dance Co., NYC); "Seeing Stars" (B. Funk Dance Co., Baltimore, MD) "Camp Bravo Presents..." (Camp Bravo, Baltimore, MD); and "New York, New York" (Carroll County Dance, Baltimore, MD), to name a few.
Julie has performed Off-Broadway in "To Be Frank" (Marymount Manhattan Theatre), "Rock Stars NYC" (Times Square Theatre) and "Dancers At Work" (Marymount Manhattan Theatre). Julie's teaching credits include: Levels 1 & 2 Ballet; Level 1 Jazz; Social Dance, Salsa, Cha-cha, Waltz, Foxtrot, Swing and Tango at University of California, Irvine; Levels 1, 2 and 3 Ballet and Level 1 jazz at DeFore Dance Center in Costa Mesa, CA; Ballet and Liturgical Dance at West Coast Conservatory of Ballet in Orange, CA and Varsity, Jr. Varsity and Mini Varsity Ballet at Extreme Dance Center. Julie has also taught Ballet, pointe technique, mixed methodology (including Cecchetti and French) year-round to ages 5-Adult (including Jr. and St. Company) at Funk Dane Company in Ellicott City, MD. She also taught at Carroll County Dance Center: Ballet (Vaganova Syllabus) levels 1 & 2; Jazz levels 1 - 3 and Broadway style Jazz in Ellicott City, MD.
In addition to teaching at ADTC, Julie has been the Dance Program Director at Camp Bravo in Towson, MD. She was responsible for hiring dance teachers, teaching, designing curriculum and production of shows.
