"The camps are fun and encouraging. Both of my daughters made new, lifelong friendships and had so much fun at camp. One of the most positive moments for my oldest daughter was her counselor encouraging her to keep up with dance!"
Heather comes to us from NYC where she has been living since graduating high school. Heather has taught at our Vermont and Wisconsin camps as well as our New Jersey jazz intensive (where she was honored with "Favorite Staff Award" voted by all of the campers) and will be teaching for her third summer with ADTC at our Squaw Valley, California camp and Lawrenceville, NJ intensives in summer 2011! Heather grew up training in Philadelphia and NYC while assisting for Tremaine Dance Conventions and many of the Broadway Dance Center Summer and Winter Intensives. Heather has trained at the Alvin Ailey Professional Division Intensive, The Rock School, Paul Taylor Summer Intensive, Tremaine LA Intensive, NYCDA Summer Intensive, Synthesis Dance Project Summer Performance Lab, Broadway Dance Center, STEPS and The Edge.
Heather's performance experience includes Fly With Me (Workshop) choreographed by Tracie Stanfield, DRA Benefit CT "Dancers for Good", The Exchange at New Dance Group, Uptown Performance Series at Bridge for Dance, "Falling Awake" Concert with Clarity in Motion Company, numerous International Dance Festival performances in NYC and "How We Roll" EOS/Caseology 2009 commercial.
Heather teaches master classes and intensives at studios around the US and choreographs at many studios in the NYC area.
Heather will be locating back to Philadelphia at the end of this summer to continue her education at Temple University as a Psychology major. Her goal is to work as a clinical therapist with dancers as well as begin a contemporary performance company.
