BEFORE YOU GO
At ADTC, your experience starts while you're still at home. We agree that the little details matter, and we make sure you know everything you need to know before you've even left your living room. We get you all the information you need to pack perfectly. The only think we can't do is help you remember your toothbrush (but we'll have a fresh one for you if you forget it!).
TRAVEL ASSISTANCE
For your convenience, ADTC partners with local shuttle services that offer airport pick-up service on Sunday mornings/afternoons before check-in, and Saturday mornings/afternoons after check-out for an additional fee per person. Campers traveling long-distances to camp may be able to save money by sharing a shuttle from/to the airport, train or bus station. Please call 866-383-ADTC no sooner than one week prior to your camp session to see if this is possible (this may not be possible in all cases).
CHILDREN FLYING UNACCOMPANIED
Most major US airlines offer unaccompanied minor service for children from 8 - 17 years of age. The service is usually mandatory for an unaccompanied minor 8 to 11 years old and optional for 12 to 17 year olds. The fee for unaccompanied minor service ranges by airline.
Please contact us if your camper will be flying to camp on her own and/or to schedule your airport pick-up.
INFORMATION PACKETS
Details about our camps that are helpful to know before you register can be found in our Information Packets. We have one for each ADTC location.
REGISTERED CAMPER HANDBOOKS
Our Registered Camper Handbook tells our 2012 registered campers everything they need to know before coming to camp, from check-in/out procedures and driving directions to dorm life, daily schedules and other helpful information.
HEALTH INSURANCE, FORMS & WAIVERS
All campers must be covered by their own medical insurance. Also, prior to check-in, all campers must have on-file a completed ADTC Health Form, which requires a physical examination by a licensed health professional dated no earlier than two years prior to attending ADTC. Other waivers, releases and agreements must also be submitted prior to check-in.
THE RIGHT DANCEWEAR
When it comes to dancing, we'll make sure you're perfectly prepared for the classes you'll be doing and the climate you'll be doing them in. We draw on our extensive experience in the region of the country (or world!) to arm you with the knowledge to pack like a pro, even if it's your first time. You also won't need to go on a big shopping spree before you go. We'll give you a list of the dancewear we recommend - you'll likely have most of it in your closet already. Got the very latest stuff from Capezio? Great. Be sure to bring it along. But we also find that cotton tank tops still work just fine for dance!
RECOMMENDED READS
We know that having a little perspective can help make your first camp experience, well, less scary. That means you, parents! That's why we've included some great articles with our registered camper information.
