The Squaw Valley Lodge is a luxurious resort on the magnificent Sierra slopes of Squaw Valley USA in California. Campers ages 8 - 17 stay in condominium suites that combine all the comforts of home with the service and amenities of a luxury lodge.
The two-story spacious Loft Condominium Suites are approximately 800
square feet with two full bathrooms and accommodate between five and seven campers each. Laundry facilities are located in each building, and ADTC offers a dance canteen for basic daily supplies.
Tahoe City and the historic town of Truckee, CA are located within ten miles of the lodge. Sacramento is 100 miles to the west; Reno is 45 miles to the east; and San Francisco is about 200 miles west, less than four hours by car.
At an elevation of 6,200 feet, the Squaw Valley Lodge experiences the full range of seasonal climates with 300 days of sunshine each year. The average summer temperatures range from 60 to 85 degrees.
Core classes in hip hop dance, jazz dance and musical theatre dance are held in the "Ponderosa" conference room by the pool and the Olympic House "Bar One" stage, as well as outside on the Olympic House deck with a beautiful mountain back-drop. We set up american harlequin dance floors in each dance space, and there is ample room to accommodate up to 20 dancers per class (though American Dance Training Camp dance classes are usually much smaller).
Families who don't want to be too far from their dancers are encouraged to stay at Squaw while their daughter attends dance camp. You can rent a condo or a hotel room in the nearby Village at Squaw by contacting them directly (1-866-818-6963).
