ABOUT THE "DANCE BOOT CAMP"
ADTC "Dance Boot Camps" are offered at dance studios, YMCA's, parks & rec facilities and schools all over the US, from small towns to big cities. By bringing a customized workshop directly to your private studio or location, you can eliminate costly travel expenses for students and parents. More and more studios want the personalized, one-on-one, positive, professional, inspiring experience that our in-studio boot camps provide. With more than 50 professional choreographers to choose from, we can create the ULTIMATE customized dance boot camp based on your requests and specifications, including length of dance camp, levels, and dance styles to be taught. ADTC Dance Boot Camps have been held at studios of all sizes, from 16 participants (absolute minimum), to more than 200. Room sizes vary with each studio, and the only requirement is that they have CD/iPod sound systems and enough room to accommodate the number of students registered.
DANCE CLASSES
ADTC boot campers participate in four 1 hour dance classes per day. Studio owners can choose one, two or three dance disciplines as the focus of their boot camp. Core disciplines are jazz, hip hop, Broadway, contemporary &/or lyrical dance, but additional dance styles like tap, modern, ballet & world dance may also be offered. We offer 11 different dance styles to choose from, so if your studio or organization has a specific request, chances are we've got your covered!
Boot camps can be held in dance studios, gymnasiums, fitness centers, cafeterias, hotel conference rooms, and even outdoors. It is up to the studio owner or boot camp organizer to secure the camp facility. Each dance space must have ample room to accommodate the number of registered campers.
DANCE SCREENING & DANCE GROUPS
Because dance is the focus at ADTC, we need to know everyone's dance ability. This is for the safety and comfort of our participants. Check-in on the first day of an ADTC boot camp begins at 8:00am SHARP. Campers must arrive by 7:45am to ensure they are placed in the right dance group for the day. Campers will learn two short dance combinations (one in jazz and one in hip hop) for an evaluation, which determines dance groups. Dance groups are broken down by both age and ability level. Classes are kept as small as possible to enable plenty of one-on-one interaction and attention.
