"Our program used ADTC for the first time this year and we are so glad we did! ADTC customized our camp just for us. We improved our technique and had a ton of fun. The dances we learned in just two days compared to routines we've practiced the whole year. Our ADTC Instructors used a recipe of safety first, discipline, years of experience and loads of FUN to inspire and motivate our girls to push past their fears and grow as dancers and individuals. In two day's time we watched them stretch beyond their shortened expectations of themselves. Thanks ADTC - you have inspired us all to be better dancers!"

AFTER SCHOOL DANCE
The mission of ADTC's After School Dance initiative is to partner with schools & community organizations nationwide to get kids moving.
ADTC After School Dance is open to dancers of all levels, grades K-12, from first-time beginners to advanced performers...and everyone in-between. Some After School Dance students take classes for the FUN of it. Others perform locally in their community, while still others work their way up in the program to perform nationally, and participate in television appearances and the filming of DVDs. At ADTC there is something for everyone because we believe everyone is "free to dance!"
While our traditional after school program focuses on hip hop & jazz dance, students should come ready to experiment with additional dance styles (like contemporary, lyrical, modern & basic ballet) while working on these core competencies. We offer 11 different dance styles to choose from, so if your school or organization has a specific request, chances are we've got you covered!
No formal dance training or experience is required to attend ADTC I, II or Teen classes - just a love of dance and a willingness to learn and have fun! Dancers can register for any class that is convenient for their schedule.
Weekly instruction includes a comprehensive warm-up, across-the-floor work and fun choreography that builds upon mastered skills and comes straight from the fabulous dance choreographers at our ADTC summer dance camps. Additionally, each class learns one or two performance routines to perform at the end of their session and in their Annual Spring Show.
Students register for 8-12 week sessions at their school or local ADTC facility (September – June), attending one, one-hour class each week. Registration is ongoing throughout the session (space permitting and tuition is prorated accordingly).
Dancers who are really succeeding and doing a good job in their after school dance classes may be invited to join their local ADTC Performance Company. Company dancers perform year-round at local school, corporate & charity events (American Heart Association, Heart Walks, American Cancer Society, Relay for Life, Dance Marathons, Parenting Magazine events, etc).
Dancers who are excelling in their local ADTC Performance Company may be invited to join our National Production Company - our highest level of students who travel nationally and internationally and do a lot of our TV work.
ADTC After School Dance (Grades K - 12))
Open to girls & boys - all levels - no prior dance experience necessary!
Our funky dance moves are broken down into smaller, easy to learn segments. This makes the choreography easier to learn while keeping it fun. Students learn six (6) routines per year. This class teaches teamwork while increasing strength, coordination and agility. It also enhances leadership abilities. All this while your child develops his/her own funky sense of style. No prior dance experience is necessary. Classes, divided by grade, are 1 hour long and meet once per week. Check out this video of K - 5th graders practicing their hip hop piece at our Santa Rita School After School class (Los Altos, CA):

Our goal is to balance the number of boys & girls in the class.
