"She LOVED everything. This
was her first "overnight," week
long time away from us. She
is hoping to return next year.
She tried some things that I know
if her parents were around she
might have been more hesitant.
Like, horseback riding, rock climbing
at Bromley and the alpine slide."

AWESOME ACTIVITIES
Our outstanding dance program & wide variety of recreational activities allow campers to stay fit, build lasting friendships & gain self-confidence through their accomplishments both inside and outside of the dance environment!
In addition to dance, ADTC campers can enjoy swimming, hiking, horseback riding, tennis, canoeing, arts & crafts and more!
Watch this video to learn more about ADTC's awesome activities:
Organized evening activities may include team competitions (like American Dance Idol, Team Cheers, Dance Trivia, and Flexibility/Strength/Leaps Night), dance-based games, roasting marshmallows around a campfire, an evening barbeque, and outside games like Suitcase Races and Capture the Flag. An optional evening field trip (like to a renowned playhouse to see a summer stock musical production) may also be offered. And, of course, don't forget the big Friday night dance performance, when parents, siblings and friends are invited to cheer on their dancers' progress.
Evening open activities include dance aerobics classes, arts & crafts, listening to music & socializing in the ADTC Canteen (which sells refreshments, candy and other snacks along with ADTC dancewear and accessories), working on dance steps with instructors, watching movies, or just hanging out with friends.
At the start of each week, the ADTC staff helps campers get to know each other and to build camaraderie by organizing the girls into teams. The teams earn points by competing in friendly events and working together to complete various tasks throughout the week (photo safaris, scavenger hunts, dance competitions, art projects, etc.). Individuals also earn points for their teams (keeping dorm rooms clean, being on-time to dance classes and camp activities, etc.). More details will be explained at the first camp meeting on Sunday evening. At the end of each week, an awards ceremony is held to recognize each team for their efforts and to celebrate the winning team. Campers should come ready to participate and have fun with their teams!
We recommend that you purchase the ADTC “Unlimited Activities Pass” to save money on optional activities. Or, you can choose instead to register and pay for individual activities later on. Please note that most optional activities also require parental consent. Due to weather, availability &/or scheduling conflicts, we may be unable to offer all activities during your child's session. Campers register for activities during the Sunday afternoon team meeting (they can only register for activities if you have signed the necessary waivers!). Campers will be accompanied by ADTC staff who are trained in CPR & First Aid during each activity.
