AMAZING MOMENTS
"Life is made of millions of moments, but we live only one of these moments at a time. As we begin to change this moment, we begin to change our lives."
THE INTANGIBLES
Whenever we ask one of our campers or parents to describe what makes us different, we get the same reaction: they get quite excited, and insist they'd never go to another dance camp. But the right words are tough to find. Eventually, they start talking about all the things we don't write about in our brochures or schedules; the intangibles; the "amazing moments," if you will. When your mantra is to embrace the unexpected and be spontaneous, magical, unscripted moments never fail to happen along the way.

“It's all about dance, with great instructors and kids with a range of abilities and not too far from home. They loved shopping in Manchester, Bromley Thrill Zone, and joking around with the teachers and counselors.”

“It is a small, personal atmosphere where my child isn't lost in a crowd of hundreds of dancers. It has opened my daughter’s eyes that not all dancers from other studios are her competition. She had fun with all these girls and it didn't matter who they danced with or what team they were on…I think she grew a lot from it.”

“Julie had a blast this summer and she brings home new friends, new skills, new songs, new memories, but most of all she's motivated to continue dancing at a different level. She liked that she was placed with girls who challenged her and made her work harder and learn more.”

MORE AMAZING ADTC EXPERIENCES, AS DESCRIBED BY HAPPY CAMPER PARENTS
"My daughter has attended American Dance Training Camp in Squaw Valley, California for the past two years and is looking forward to her third year. At the age of 12, she went by herself. However at the end of the week she had many best friends, and I was delighted to find that they were from all over, even some out of the country (as far away as Germany and Iraq). She has kept in touch with all of them.
On the third day of camp, my daughter called home and was so excited to report that she had auditioned for a duet with her new friend to be performed on Friday night. She wasn't sure at that point if the dance would be selected. On Friday, I was so proud to see her dance had been selected, and I was amazed at how she had grown as a dancer in just one week. The choreography the girls learned for the week was amazing.
Year two she met a great friend from Colorado. The two of them said they were so close that they were like sisters. They are looking forward to rooming together again this year. As a parent, I think it's so wonderful to meet girls that you otherwise would not have met. These friendships will last a lifetime.
This is an amazing camp and I highly recommend it for dance girls looking for a great experience. The dance performance was excellent, and ADTC offers so many fun camp experience like kayaking and river rafting. The camp was well organized, and very well chaperoned and supervised 24/7. All of the girls had a blast! Most of all I felt 100% comfortable that she was taken care of and having fun.
Each year I have felt that my daughter was safe, having a wonderful time, so I could enjoy the week as well. One thing that I love is that the camp posts pictures of the campers every night. I look forward to signing on, seeing her smiling face, and knowing that she is having a great time. This group does an awesome job! Both with dancing, and a summer camp experience.
Thank you to ADTC. We'll see you next year!"

"It's been a little over a week since our daughter returned from dance camp in North Carolina and we are still raving about it! Her experience surpassed our expectations in so many ways. Your staff could not have been more friendly, professional, nurturing, and talented. From the very first conversations when we arrived on Sunday, to the conversations after the performance on Friday night, we were in awe.
Our daughter had such a great week of learning new forms of dance, new techniques, making new friends, and gaining so much more self-confidence. We were so impressed by how much the girls were taught in just five days!! The performance was so well orchestrated and we could see and feel the girls' enthusiasm and pride as they each performed their numbers.
We know that something like your staff was able to do in one week does not happen by magic. They are an incredibly hard-working and talented group of dancers and we want you to know that we are very grateful that our daughter had the opportunity to learn from them."

"Fiona has really told us a lot about how much she enjoyed the camp. We see a big change in her confidence and perspective. She wants to return next year, perhaps to the same camp and dates as she made some good friends. We even hear her talking to friends about it and teaching others some of her dance moves. Thanks so much for your caring leadership."

"I just wanted to email you to THANK YOU and everyone at ADTC-Squaw Valley. My daughter attended Session 4 and she is still talking about it! She had a wonderful time meeting the other campers and staff. She learned so much during the one week session and she can't wait to share some of her new dance moves with her friends at school. She made a lot of nice friends from all over the Bay Area and beyond, and she is keeping in touch with them via Facebook.
The photos that the girls are sharing proves that everyone had a FANTASTIC time! Cameryn is already talking about her plans to return next summer, and she hopes to also apply to be a CIT for next year.
I am thrilled that she had a such a great experience and I want to again THANK YOU ALL for making it such a positive summer adventure!"

"I just wanted to tell you what a wonderful experience Cami had at your New Jersey Dance Camp. Cami loves to sing and act and once she got into high school, she realized that in order to have a chance at getting larger parts in the school musicals, she needed to improve her dance skills. She was a little hesitant to attend the camp since she knew there would be some excellent dancers there (and she has had very little dance training), but couldn't have had a better time! She initially signed up for one week, but begged us to stay a second week since she was having so much fun.
We were very impressed with how organized you were, how fantastic the instructors were and how many fun activities you planned. And we were very impressed with the huge increase in Cami's confidence and skill level. But I think we were most impressed with how you made each and every girl at every skill level feel like a great dancer. I'm not sure if she will be too old to attend next year (17?), but if not, she would love to return.
Thank you so much for an excellent experience!"

"I need you all to know how wonderful you are to make this one of the most fantastic experiences Simone has ever had.
Perhaps you may have learned that Simone can be quiet and not a forthcoming young lady. She's reserved at times and it absolutely has no bearing as to the joy she experiences about her experience.
When she got in the car, knowing her as I do, I asked her how she felt about the week by rating it on a scale of 1 to 10. She immediately said 10. She is a very discerning girl and does not give out 10's to much of anything...except perhaps Michael Jackson..
Thank you, thank you and thank you so very much from the bottom of my heart for everything you have done to give my daughter the most meaningful experience she has had to date."
