Levels of ADTC Instructor Certification
ADTC Instructors of all levels can be hired to teach at our overnight, local and destination camps. This means you will be presented with flexible, part-time teaching opportunities throughout the year!
Also, ADTC Instructors can choose to "host" their own ADTC camps - as a host and an Instructor, you can earn a profit on camper tuition (in addition to your hourly salary!)
All Certified ADTC Instructors MUST:

Successfully pass our criminal background check process

Be mature, responsible, fun-loving individuals

Love kids and love being a positive role model

Be ready to make ADTC a great camp experience for everybody, including yourself!

Be able to accept supervision and guidance as well as organize and oversee dance classes and camp activities

Be able to establish and maintain effective and productive working relationships and customer service within a diverse and multicultural environment

Be able to interact with all age levels
Level 1 Certification (Great for college students, teachers, cheer/poms coaches, etc.)
Instructors with “ADTC Level 1 Certification” can be hired for Junior Instructor-Counselor (JIC) positions at ADTC overnight camps at a higher salary than non-certified JICs ($100 bonus per week). Level 1 Certification also makes Instructors eligible to re-teach ADTC choreography at local and/or destination camps throughout the year.
Qualifications
- 19 years old or older
- Must be able to master beginner – intermediate level choreography in Hip Hop, Jazz & Musical Theatre
- Must be able to effectively re-teach learned choreography to children and adults
- Must be able to teach at least two additional dance disciplines or related “dance electives” (lyrical, ballet, modern, improv, tap, latin, popping/locking, breakdance, yoga, pilates, tumbling, leaps/jumps, cheerleading, etc.)
Salary

$100 bonus per week as JIC at ADTC Overnight Camps

$30 per hour for teaching at local/destination ADTC camps during the year

$30 per hour + profit on camper tuition when you host an ADTC camp
** We also compensate all travel, accommodations and food for local/destination camp Instructors
Level 2 Certification (Great for choreographers & teachers who specialize in one dance style!)
Instructors with “ADTC Level 2 Certification” can be hired for Instructor-Counselor (IC) positions at ADTC overnight camps. Also, Level 2 Instructors can choreograph and teach at local and/or destination camps throughout the year. Even when they can't make a personal appearance to teach their choreography, Level 2 Instructors still make money if their choreography is re-taught by Level 1 Instructors at an ADTC camp!
Qualifications
- 21 years old or older
- College degree in dance or equivalent performance/teaching experience
- Must be able to choreograph beginner – advanced dance pieces in at least one dance style
- Must be able to effectively teach choreography
- Must be able to teach at least two additional dance disciplines or related “dance electives” (lyrical, ballet, modern, improv, tap, latin, popping/locking, breakdance, yoga, pilates, tumbling, leaps/jumps, cheerleading, etc.)
Salary
- $900 per week as a newly hired Overnight Camp IC ($1000 per week for returning ICs)
- $50 per hour for teaching at local/destination ADTC camps during the year
- $50 per hour + profit on camper tuition when you host an ADTC camp
- $300 cash each time your original choreography is recycled at an ADTC camp
** We also compensate all travel, accommodations and food for local/destination camp Instructors
Level 3 Certification (Great for versatile and well-rounded choreographers and teachers)
Instructors with "ADTC Level 3 Certification" can be hired for Instructor-Counselor (IC) positions at ADTC overnight camps. Also, because of their versatility as dance teachers, Level 3 Instructors will have more opportunities to choreograph and teach at local and/or destination camps throughout the year. Like Level 2 Instructors, Level 3 Instructors can earn money each time their choreography is "recycled" at an ADTC camp.
Qualifications
- 21 years old or older
- Must be able to choreograph & teach beginner – advanced dance pieces in all ADTC core disciplines: Jazz, hip hop & musical theatre
- Must be able to teach at least two additional dance disciplines or related “dance electives” (lyrical, ballet, modern, improv, tap, latin, popping/locking, breakdance, yoga, pilates, tumbling, leaps/jumps, cheerleading, etc.)
Salary
- $900 per week as a newly hired Overnight Camp IC ($1000 per week for returning ICs)
- $75 per hour for teaching at local/destination ADTC camps during the year
- $75 per hour + profit on camper tuition when you host an ADTC camp
- $300 cash each time your original choreography is recycled at an ADTC camp
