Once you become a Certified ADTC Instructor, you can:

  • Join Our Professional Online Social Network - As a Certified ADTC Instructor, you'll be invited to join our private online dance teaching and learning community! Make new friends in the industry, get feedback on your dance videos and choreography, post events in our forum, and so much more!
  • Post, Rate and Vote on New Choreography - At ADTC, we have an ongoing, open call for Level 2 & 3 Certified Instructors to post snippets of their original dance choreography on our public "Free To Dance" social network. Each month, the community comments and rates Instructor dance choreography to help us choose winners in each dance style. If your choreography is selected by the community, you must submit an instructional video of a 2-3 minute performance piece that incorporates these steps to our national office. Your video does not need to be professional, but we do need to be able to see and hear you! Every time your piece is re-taught at an ADTC camp, you will receive $300 cash.
  • Stay on the Cutting Edge of the Dance Industry - With certified ADTC choreographers in a rich variety of dance styles (ranging from hip hop, jazz, musical theatre, ballet, tap, lyrical and modern to street dance, break dance, popping & locking, funk, improvisation and more!) posting snippets of their dance pieces online each month for review by the Free To Dance community, you'll be inspired by the best the dance industry has to offer. Note: you cannot access the breakdown of the choreography unless you are instructing or hosting an ADTC camp that will teach that particular piece.
  • Teach at an ADTC overnight camp - Certified ADTC Instructors can apply to teach at one or more of our fabulous mountain resort locations for the summer: Stratton Mountain, VT; Squaw Valley, CA; Winter Park, CO and Nantahala Village, NC
  • Teach at an ADTC Local or Destination Camp - Certified ADTC Instructors can also apply to teach at one or more of our local or destination camps, which means lots of teaching opportunities throughout the year!
  • Host an ADTC Camp - You won't have to do any choreography yourself (unless you choose to), and you'll be paid as an ADTC Instructor AND earn a profit as the host.
  • Offer Classes in New Dance Styles at Your Studio - Supplement your current curriculum by hosting an ADTC camp or class at your own studio - or team up with another studio, community center or school to make it a big event. Your students will thank you for the innovative, professional choreography and exposure to a new dance style. Best of all - it's great exposure for your dance studio!
  • Earn Money Without Leaving Home - Certified Level 2/3 ADTC Instructors can earn money for their choreography without having to travel to a studio to teach it themselves! Summer overnight camp ICs and winners of our monthly "Free To Dance" contest will get paid $300 every time their dance piece is "recycled" at one of our camps.
  • Bring Dance into Public Schools and Community Center Settings - Certified ADTC Instructors are encouraged to participate in our "Free To Dance" initiative - host an ADTC after-school camp or in-school "try-it" class and expose children of all ages, races and backgrounds to the FUN of dance styles they may not otherwise get the opportunity to try!
