THE ADTC CANTEEN
The ADTC Canteen is our camp store, selling snacks, drinks, long-distance phone cards, postcards & stamps, toiletry items, dance apparel & supplies, and ADTC t-shirts, logo-wear and souvenirs. (You can also visit our online ADTC Canteen store now to purchase dancewear, exclusive ADTC logo-wear and other great items). Many of the items on the recommended packing checklist can be purchased either at the Online Canteen or at the Camp Canteen.
During camp, we set up the Canteen in one of our common areas, and it is typically open during afternoon and evening free time. It's usually a favorite spot to relax, listen to music and hang out with fellow campers!
Campers make purchases from the Canteen on credit, meaning we keep track of exactly what the camper spends, then refund the parent's credit card on-file at the end of the week after check-out. Parents pre-authorize & fund their campers account with a certain limit per-week, and ADTC's staff ensures each camper stays under her limit. Canteen items are priced similarily to typical vending machine / convenience store prices.
Any fees for the optional activities in which the camper participates are handled the same way. For more on that, visit the Trips & Extras page for your ADTC.
All parents of registered campers must "open" a canteen account for their camper prior to check-in, using our "Canteen/Activities Account Set-Up" form (Visa or MasterCard only). We do not accept cash to pay for activities or canteen purchases, and we do not allow campers to have or use cash while at camp.
