Bio

Ernest Eknock Phillips is best known for starring on Fox TV’s “So You Think You Can Dance” in 2007 & 2013, as well as MTV’s “America’s Best Dance Crew” in 2008 & 2010. He has also appeared as a Choreogrpaher/Dancer on NBC’s “America’s Got Talent”, BET’s “106 and Park”, and MTV’s “Made” (Hip Hop Challenge). Most recently he was a contestant in 2015’s “The Amazing Race.”

Eknock started dancing as early as three years old and works as a dance teacher to make ends meet. Aside from dancing, his other talents are acting, rapping and flipping (tumbling). Phillips also has a fetish for food and idolizes Michael Jackson, but it is his grandmother who inspires him the most.

Another interesting detail about this guy is that he is a master at making show mixes. He proudly shares that he can make a show mix out of “nothing.”

Eknock has been choreographing and teaching for American Dance Training Camps since 2008. He has worked at our dance camps in Stratton, Vermont; Squaw Valley, California; Lawrenceville, New Jersey; Lake Forest, Illinois; and Asheville, North Carolina.

With his awesome personality and creative hip hop style, Eknock is a favorite dance choreographer at American Dance Training Camps each summer!
