Belle Jessen, from Elgin, IL., received her early training at the Gould Academy of Dance Arts, Faubourg School of Ballet and with Visceral Studio Company in her final year of high school.
Jessen has spent summers training with most recently, Ate9 Dance Company, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, River North Dance Chicago, the San Francisco Conservatory, Alonzo King’s Lines Ballet, and the Joffrey Ballet.
She is a December 2014 Cum Laude graduate from Point Park University where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a Jazz concentration. As a part of the Conservatory Dance Company, she had the opportunity to perform works by David Parsons, Kyle Abraham, Randy Duncan, Kevin Iega Jeff, Garfield Lemonius, Kiesha Lalama, Ron Tassone and Kellie Hodges.
Currently, Belle is dancing with Visceral Dance Chicago as an apprentice for their 2015-2016 season and teaches at several studios in the Chicagoland area. She had the opportunity to be a part of Kate Jablonski’s cast as the first runner-up in the Capezio A.C.E. Awards for Choreographic Excellence, in her production “Beyond Words,” performed at New World Stages in Manhattan in July of 2010.
Belle has been a Junior-Instructor-Counselor and Instructor-Counselor teaching contemporary dance at American Dance Training Camp's ULTIMATE Chicago Lakeshore Dance Camp in Lake Forest, Illinois since 2012.
