SQUAW VALLEY CAMPER TRIPS & EXTRAS
Enhance your ADTC California experience!
In Squaw, we offer the optional field trips & activities described below. Additional fees & waivers will be detailed in the Registered Camper's Handbook sent to confirmed campers in March. Fees will include any necessary transportation, professional guides (where applicable) & supervision by ADTC staff certified in First Aid & CPR. Note that there always are included (fee-free) activity options available to campers who do not participate in the optional field trips & additional fee activities. Also note that the activities described below are subject to change or cancellation without notice.
Campers planning to participate in most of our field trips & additional fee activities can save money by purchasing our "Unlimited Activities Pass". This is an exclusive one-time offer available only when registering - don't miss out!

SWIMMING
Daily, weather permitting
In sunny weather (which is most summer days in Squaw Valley), we'll cool down at the Lodge's outdoor pool. CAMPER MUST BE SELF-SUFFICIENT SWIMMER.

Built into the hillside facing beautiful Shirley Canyon and the world famous peaks of Squaw Valley USA, this magnificent Ropes Course offers campers unparalleled teambuilding opportunities. |

SKY JUMP TRAMPOLINE
Twice per session, weather permitting
Soar 25' in the air while performing flips & tricks! Everyone wears a safety harness and is connected to a rope/bungee system for safety. The bungee trampoline activity is sure to send every camper to new heights and keep you smiling for hours. |

SUNSET KAYAK TRIP

The staff at Tahoe City Kayak will take us for a leisurely paddle on beautiful Lake Tahoe. No prior canoeing/kayaking experience is required. Life preservers provided. CAMPER MUST BE A SELF-SUFFICIENT SWIMMER! |

INDOOR ROCK WALL

No matter what the weather or your experience, you'll have a blast climbing the 30' high simulated rock surface comprised of 8 to 10 different ropes and many routes at the Headwall Climbing Wall. |

HIGH CAMP (ICE SKATING & SWIMMING)

Yes, you can do both in the same spot! Ride the scenic Squaw Valley Cable Car up to High Camp where you can both ice skate, and take a swim overlooking the entire Tahoe basin. Spend the afternoon enjoying activities, food and breathtaking views. |

HORSEBACK RIDING

Take an easy one-hour trail ride through the scenic woods surrounding Squaw Valley, lead by the professionals at Alpine Meadows Stables. No prior riding experience is required. Helmets and basic riding instruction are provided. |

HIKE & PHOTO SHOOT
Once per session, weather permitting
Head over to Shirley Canyon your own disposable camera (provided) and hike up the mountains where you can admire the natural beauty of the area and the breathtaking views while capturing camp memories you'll remember for a lifetime. |

MINI GOLF

Mountainside Mini Golf at the base of Squaw Valley has eighteen holes - right in the village. Aim for a hole-in-one!

WORLD DANCE ELECTIVE
Monday - Thursday afternoon dance class (after lunch)
Learn a unique world dance piece to perform in the Friday Night Show. Daily rehearsals take place after lunch. World dance is at the same time as our ballet/tap electives but does not interfere with other afternoon activities. All proceeds go to the charity selected by campers. |
Crafts
Crafts are scheduled from 4:00 - 4:45pm daily and overlap with some activities (Tuesday Bromley, Wednesday horseback riding, Wednesday mountain biking, Thursday beach time). Campers should not plan on participating in craft activities on the days they've scheduled these activities.

JOURNAL-MAKING

Girls get to make their own journal or scrapbook from scratch! Create a handbound book frame and spine, pick and stitch the inner journal pages, and then design and decorate the cover. |

Need a frame for that favorite camp picture? Then you need a one-of-a-kind frame that shows how special your picture is to you. Whether classy, silly, nostalgic or vibrant, you design a frame that's all your own. |

Learn how to make a 24-square quilt from start to finish! We'll take you step by step through the quiltmaking process with creative quilt patterns for inspiration. You'll have a unique wall-hanging for your room so you can always remember ADTC (idea: get your new camp friends to autograph the back!). |

CAIRN STONE PAINTING

For centuries, the art of stone piling on a mountain, otherwise known as building stone cairns, has been believed to bring good fortune. We will each paint our own spcial rock, focusing on a unique wish we have at this time in our lives - then we'll head outdoors to offer our collective tower of wishes to the mountain & the universe. |

FRIENDSHIP BRACELET MAKING
Once per session
Learn to make your own colorful bracelets of beads, theads or yarn. As fun for beginners as it is for intermediates. Learn. Get inspiration. Make friends. Share ideas. It'll be even more fun since you'll be making one while hanging out at the beach. |
Spa
Spa appointments are scheduled during Siesta (4:45 - 5:30pm daily) & will not interfere with dance classes or activities. Fresh fruit, organic tea and plenty of water will be available to our spa-goers before, during and after their appointments.

Our dancer mani/pedi includes nail shaping, buffing and polish (color/s of your choice). Tension and fatigue melt away as you sink into our special hand & foot bath infused with aromatic oils. Best of all, you get to spend quality time relaxing with new friends & ADTC staff! Nail art extra. |
