Julia Sauve, MA has been performing, teaching and choreographing modern dance on Prince Edward Island in Canada for the past twenty-five years and brings her modern dance expertise to ADTC campers in the summers. In addition to her role as co-founder of P.E.I's largest dance school, Julia works as a choreographer, dance adjudicator, dance captain and dance coach. Her experience ranges from modern dance, ballet and jazz to musical theatre and creative movement for children. Between '96 - '98, Ms. Sauve headed the dance program at a private boarding school in New Hampshire.
Julia presents both In-Service and Professional Development workshops to Educators, Teacher's Assistants, and Teacher's Ed. students. In addition to teaching modern dance and working with faculty and staff, Julia also visits classrooms within the School Boards and at the University of Prince Edward Island, facilitating enrichment classes in movement within the Language Arts, Physical Education, Music and Theatre Arts curriculum. In 2002, Julia presented at The Learning Brain Expo conference in San Diego, CA. She has her Bachelors Degree in Dance from S.U.N.Y. Brockport (New York), has studied at Jacob's Pillow (a world renown dance training centre in Massachusetts), and has her Masters in Movement Education from Goddard College in Vermont.
