Parent Info - Check-In, Check-Out, Early Arrival/Departure & Extended Stay Procedures

CHECK-IN PROCEDURES

  • Sign in your camper (Front desk) - Pick up an "ADTC Camper Guide" (with your child's name, roommate/s name, room #, team and team leader)
  • Complete camper health screening with camp nurse & drop off any medications
  • Sign permission slips - Complete and submit the "ADTC Parental Consent Form." Please calculate the total fee for ALL activities in which your child is allowed to participate. You will need to include enough money to cover these fees when funding your child's canteen account. Please Note: Most activities require an additional waiver (which you can pick up & sign at check-in).
  • Open account at the "Canteen" - All spending money must be placed “on account” at the Canteen during check-in. Please complete the “Canteen Account” form (which you receive after turning in your permission slips in the cafeteria). Because each camper’s needs vary, it is difficult to recommend a specific amount of spending money to leave. From past experience, we would suggest at least enough to cover activity fees + $50/week for incidentals (snacks, beverages, stamps, postcards, etc.) – however, you will need to include more if the camper plans to purchase dance apparel or accessories. Note: Campers are responsible for budgeting their own Canteen spending money. Campers are not able to overspend their Canteen accounts. Any money remaining in a camper’s Canteen account at the end of their session will be refunded at check-out.
  • Inspect your camper's room - Take a good look around your camper's room. If anything is not to your liking, please report the problem to a staff member at the front desk so that the issue may be resolved ASAP.
  • All parents must leave by time designated (see below). Thank You!

CHECK-IN TIMES (Sunday afternoons, times vary by location)

  • Nantahala Village, NC: 1:00 - 2:30pm - The reception area, located in the lobby of the Nantahala Village main guest lodge, opens for check-in at 1:00pm. Do not arrive earlier than 1:00pm, as we will be unable to accommodate you. All parents must leave by 2:30pm SHARP! Thank you.
  • Squaw Valley, CA: 3:00 - 4:30pm - The reception area, located in the lobby of the Squaw Valley Lodge, opens for check-in at 3:00pm. Do not arrive earlier than 3:00pm, as we will be unable to accommodate you. All parents must leave by 4:30pm SHARP! Thank you.
  • Stratton Mountain, VT: 1:00 - 2:30pm - The reception area, located in the lobby of SMS's main residential building, opens for check-in at 1:00pm. Do not arrive earlier than 1pm, as we will be unable to accommodate you. All parents must leave by 2:30pm SHARP! Thank you.
  • Winter Park, CO: 3:00 - 4:30pm - The reception area, located in the lobby of the Winter Park Mountain Lodge, opens for check-in at 3:00pm. Do not arrive earlier than 3:00pm, as we will be unable to accommodate you. All parents must leave by 4:30pm SHARP! Thank you.

* A timely arrival ensures your camper will be settled into her room before the team meeting and camp introduction. If you are going to be late, please notify us.

CHECK-OUT PROCEDURES

  • Sign out your camper in the Canteen - Let us know you've picked up your child, and collect any remaining funds in your camper's account. Don't forget to purchase limited edition ADTC apparel and accessories!
  • Pick up your camper's medications in the canteen - We immediately dispose of any medications that are not picked up at check-out

* Each camper MUST sign out before leaving camp. Written permission is required if your child is departing from camp with someone other than her parent/guardian or if your child needs to check out on Friday night after the show.

CHECK-OUT TIMES (Saturday mornings, 9:00 - 11:00am)

Saturday check-out at all ADTC locations begins at 9:00am and ends at 11:00am. Do not arrive prior to 9:00am or after 11:00am, as we will be unable to accommodate you.

EARLY ARRIVAL / EXTENDED STAY

Once camp is in session, we can accommodate campers who find it necessary to arrive one day early or to stay one day late. We must be notified two weeks in advance of early arrivals or late departures. There is a $75 charge for the extra night's accommodation. If you are checking in a day early, Saturday check-in time is at 11:00am. If you are checking out a day late, Sunday check-out time is 10:00am. Eary arrival / extended stay is subject to offering/availability by location.

EARLY CHECK-OUT (Friday evenings after show, 8:30 - 9:00pm)

We are able to accommodate campers who need to check out early on Friday evenings after the all-camp show. Check-out times are 8:30 - 9:00pm only.
